Kashmir Box is a premium Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) brand that partners with over 5,000 Kashmiri artisans to bring handcrafted luxury clothing and lifestyle pieces to a global audience. 

For their digital marketing strategy, Kashmir Box works with Adyogi to run personalized catalog video ads on Meta. 

The Challenge

Kashmir Box faced two key challenges that limited the efficiency of its ad campaigns. 

  • Broad Retargeting Campaigns with Low Precision

Kashmir Box was running retargeting campaigns on Meta, but they could only target broad events such as website visits, cart abandonments, and checkout actions. While effective to some extent, this generic approach achieved average performance with a 4X ROAS.

  • Missed Opportunities with High-Intent Users

The existing setup didn't allow them to segment and retarget high-intent users, such as those engaging with product videos. They also couldn't create optimized lookalike audiences, limiting their ability to scale their reach.

The Whatmore Solution

To overcome these challenges, Kashmir Box used Whatmore's Smart Retargeting feature. Since the brand was already using Whatmore to add shoppable videos to its website, the integration was seamless and quick.

  1. Smart Retargeting Based on Custom Events

Kashmir Box started tracking user engagement on shoppable videos and set up retargeting campaigns based on custom events, such as

  • Video Views- Identifying visitors who watched specific product videos and retargeting them with the same or similar products.
  • Product Clicks- Using click data from videos to target interested visitors 
  • Add-to-Cart Event- Retargeting customers who added products to their cart directly from videos.
  • Video Watch Time- Retargeting visitors spent more time watching videos. This signals strong interest.
  • Social Engagement- Focusing on visitors who liked or shared videos

This custom-event-based retargeting allowed Kashmir Box to retarget the right audience at the right time, maximizing engagement and conversion.

  1. Adyogi Personalized Catalog Ad Campaigns

In collaboration with Adyogi, Kashmir Box created Product-Led Videos (PLVs) to showcase specific products. These catalog video ads targeted users who had previously interacted with the products in the video and helped convert high-intent visitors into paying customers.

  1. Expanding Reach with Lookalike Audience Targeting

Whatmore's Smart Retargeting feature helped Kashmir Box build lookalike audiences based on high-intent user data, such as video views, watch time, and add-to-cart actions. These lookalike audiences allowed Kashmir Box to reach new and relevant prospective customers while maintaining a high ROAS.

The Result

  • 8X ROAS with an 85% jump in overall ROAS for retargeting campaigns

Kashmir Box hit 8X ROAS, up from the previous 4X average. They also achieved an 85% overall jump in retargeting ROAS.

  • 7X ROAS for lookalike audiences

  • 6% Click-Through Rate (CTR) for Product-Led Videos (PLVs)
